On May 12, 2025, Professor Peter Wolf, Head of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Graz, Austria, PhD supervisor, tenured professor, and chief physician, former President of the Austrian Society of Dermatology and Venereology, and Editor-in-Chief of the official magazine SKINdeep of the Austrian Society of Dermatology and Venereology, visited Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

Professor Peter Wolf first toured the cultural landscape and the cultural corridor of Xiyuan Hospital, gaining an in-depth understanding of the hospital's development history and cultural heritage. He then visited the Dermatology Treatment Area of Xiyuan Hospital and listened to an introduction of the hospital's specialty techniques in dermatology, expressing high admiration for the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in diagnosis and treatment.

During the academic symposium, Vice President Song Ping of Xiyuan Hospital extended a warm welcome to Professor Peter Wolf and his delegation. She briefly introduced the hospital's basic situation and development vision, and expressed her expectation for extensive and in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the field of dermatology.

Professor Peter Wolf delivered a lecture, sharing the cutting-edge research achievements and advanced experiences of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Graz in the fields of photodermatology, photoimmunology, and skin microbiology, especially the clinical application and research results of phototherapy in dermatology, bringing an academic feast to the participants.

Subsequently, Dr. She Yuanyao, associate chief physician of the Dermatology Department of Xiyuan Hospital, introduced the specialty therapies of the hospital's Dermatology Department, showcasing the unique advantages and good therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic and treatment techniques in the treatment of skin diseases. Both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on the technical details and clinical application prospects.

Fu Jianhua, Director of the Hospital Administration Office, and Chi Huiyan, Director of the Dermatology Department and more than 20 young scholars from Xiyuan Hospital participated in this exchange. This event laid the foundation for cooperation between Xiyuan Hospital and the University of Graz in the field of dermatology, and marked a new chapter of friendly cooperation and common development between the two parties.
