Traditional architecture and golden signboard of the new outpatient building
This building full of Chinese architectural style is the main outpatient building of our hospital, which adopts typical flush-gable-roof architectural style, with an eave height of 14 meters and a building area of nearly 50,000 square meters. The facades are composed of red walls and green tiles, and the eaves are decorated with mythical creatures led by "Immortals Riding Phoenix", in a pattern of five ridges and six mythical creatures. The overall design complies with the basic principles of Chinese architecture.
A plaque with the words "Outpatient Building" in golden color is hanged under the eaves of the top floor of the outpatient building. Plaque has a unique position in Chinese culture, which is both functional and artistic.
This plaque is 1.4 meters wide from top to bottom, 10 centimeters thick and 3.96 meters long from left to right. In Chinese culture, the number 9 means "maximum", and the number "6" means smooth, so the length of the plaque was set at 3.96 meters.
The words "Outpatient Building" adopt positive Kangxifont, and are carved from basswood. The plaque lace is decorated with two Chinese characters, ie. "Wan" (in pinyin, meaning ten thousand) and "Shou" (in pinyin, meaning life), with a combined meaning of endless life.
The production of the plaque completely follows the requirements and processes of traditional crafts. Designed by the Ancient Construction Team of the Summer Palace, the plaque was made of red pine wood, which had undergone tens of processing steps such as tung oil dipping, linen wrapping, plaster coating and cleaning, and was finally pasted with "stock gold" with a purity of 98%. The total weight of the whole plaque is over 600 kg. This golden signboard also shows our international brand reputation.
