On the afternoon of June 30, a delegation of the training program on capacity building for economic and management personnel in the health sector of developing countries, organized by the Beijing National Accounting Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "training program"), visited Xiyuan Hospital of CACMS. Jiao Mingpeng, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Department of the Beijing National Accounting Institute, and Li Qiuyan, Party Secretary of Xiyuan Hospital of CACMS, attended the event.

This training program is a foreign aid training program of the Ministry of Commerce, with all participants being officials at the director-level and division-level from health and medical management departments of developing countries. The visit aimed to share China's practical experience in the innovative development of TCM, promote progress in the health sector of developing countries, and deepen international cooperation.

Li Qiuyan pointed out that economic management in the health sector is a key means to optimize resource allocation and improve operational efficiency. TCM, as a treasure of the Chinese nation, has significant advantages in chronic disease prevention and control and grassroots health services, providing practical pathways for building an efficient health service system. It is hoped that this exchange will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the unique value and application models of TCM, provide a reference for countries to improve their healthcare systems, and further deepen practical health cooperation between China and other countries.

Dong Fei, Associate Chief Physician of the Rheumatism Department, delivered a special lecture on TCM culture to the participants, systematically introducing the prominent role of TCM in the evolution of world medicine, the ongoing verification results within the framework of modern medicine, and the wise concept of shifting from "disease treatment" to "integrated health management," which sparked active interaction among the participants. Subsequently, the participants visited the hospital history corridor, toured the smart pharmacy to understand the integration of modern information technology with TCM dispensing processes, and experienced characteristic TCM nursing techniques, gaining a firsthand understanding of the practical essence of TCM services.

This visit was a successful cultural exchange and academic dialogue. As an important window for China’s international TCM exchange, Xiyuan Hospital fully demonstrated the profound heritage and modern value of TCM, and built a new platform for deepening international exchange and cooperation in TCM and contributing to the construction of a global community of health for all.
