Delegation from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia Visited Xiyuan Hospital

Recently, a delegation led by Wisnu Barlianto, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia, visited Xiyuan Hospital of CACMS. The delegation included six experts, such as Vice Dean Mohammad Saifur Rohman and Husnul Khotimah. Yang Guanglin, President of the Medicine and Health Exchange and Cooperation Committee under the China-Asia Economic Development Association and President of the Tianjin Pharmaceutical International Exchange Association, accompanied the delegation. Li Qiuyan, Party Secretary of Xiyuan Hospital, Wang Peili, Vice President, and heads of relevant departments attended the symposium.

Universitas Brawijaya is a top public comprehensive university in Indonesia. Its Faculty of Medicine ranks among the top in Southeast Asia in the fields of tropical medicine, oncology, and integrated research on traditional medicine, possessing rich clinical resources and interdisciplinary research teams.

At the symposium, Li Qiuyan stated that the traditional friendship between the two countries is profound, and Xiyuan Hospital and Universitas Brawijaya have a good foundation for cooperation. She expressed hope that this visit will serve as an opportunity to advance joint research cooperation in traditional medicine, explore the signing of a comprehensive MOC, and promote the implementation of concrete outcomes in areas such as personnel exchange, joint training programs, scientific research cooperation, and the promotion of appropriate TCM technologies.

Wisnu Barlianto expressed his gratitude for the warm reception at Xiyuan Hospital and emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine places great importance on its cooperation with Xiyuan Hospital. Rohman introduced the current development and disciplinary advantages of the Faculty of Medicine and expressed the hope to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism to promote the integrated development of traditional and modern medicine.

In his speech, Yang Guanglin stated that the association will fully leverage its role as a bridge and wholeheartedly support the in-depth cooperation between Xiyuan Hospital and Universitas Brawijaya in talent cultivation, scientific research, and achievement transformation.

Subsequently, the attendees exchanged and discussed their visions for cooperation. Both sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of collaborative initiatives and to jointly conduct high-level research in traditional medicine. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Nursing Culture Gallery, the Comprehensive Nursing Clinic, and the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at Xiyuan Hospital. The Indonesian experts showed keen interest in Xiyuan Hospital's rich TCM cultural heritage, standardized clinical research management system, and distinctive TCM nursing techniques. They also engaged in in-depth exchanges with the hospital staff regarding diagnosis and treatment details and management models.
