TCM Study Tour For Spanish Practitioners Concludes | Xiyuan Hospital Explores New Pathways for Inbound TCM Consumption
Recently, the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Study Tour for Spanish Practitioners, co-organized by Xiyuan Hospital and China Peace Travel, successfully concluded. Ten physicians from various hospitals and clinics in Spain participated in a four-day immersive study program, focusing on in-depth training and clinical practice in TCM non-drug therapies. This event represents a vivid example of Xiyuan Hospital's innovation in export cooperation models for TCM services, stimulating new drivers for inbound TCM consumption, and building a high-level "Xiyuan Solution".

The study tour is characterized by three distinct features: high-level, professional, and market-oriented. All Spanish participants have medical education backgrounds. Having systematically studied TCM in Spain and holding relevant practicing licenses, they are outstanding practitioners in local clinical work of TCM. Driven by their passion for TCM culture and pursuit of enhancing their clinical skills, they traveled to Xiyuan Hospital specifically for this training. As a National TCM Service Export Base, Xiyuan Hospital has precisely addressed the advanced training needs of overseas high-level TCM practitioners, achieving an efficient integration of medical institutions' professional advantages and market entities' operational capabilities.
During the study tour, Xiyuan Hospital fully leveraged its core clinical and teaching strengths as a national team in TCM. It meticulously designed a series of premium courses covering the Rheumatology Department, the Andrology Department, the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department, the Qigong and Tuina (Chinese Massage) Department, and the Comprehensive Nursing Clinic. It also assigned a team of senior experts within the hospital for providing close mentorship and instructions, ensuring both depth and cutting-edge nature of the training content. From March 31 to April 3, the Spanish practitioners followed an intensive yet rewarding schedule. Through special lectures, diagnosis practice, and hands-on technical practice, they engaged in in-depth learning and exchange centered on TCM non-drug therapies. At the closing ceremony, the participants expressed that this study tour not only refined their clinical skills but also deepened their understanding of the holistic view of TCM and the principles of treatment based on syndrome differentiation. They experienced the unique charm of the integration of TCM wisdom with modern science and technology.

The successful completion of this TCM study tour marks an important step in Xiyuan Hospital's active response to the national initiative for promoting the integrated development of "TCM trade in services" and "inbound TCM consumption". In the future, Xiyuan Hospital will continue to build on its role as a National TCM Service Export Base, expanding innovative partnerships with a wide range of market entities.
